🐝 FEED YOUR BEES: These entrance feeders provide sugar water to your bees to help them rapidly increase their numbers and jumpstart honey production in the spring, and to put away extra stores of food for winter.
🐝 EASY TO USE: The entrance feeders are designed pair with a standard mason jar (not included). To use, fill the mason jars with a 1:1 dissolved sugar:water solution in the spring and summer, or a 2:1 solution in the fall and winter. Then screw the tops on, turn upside down, and slide into the entrance of the hive.
🐝 EASY TO CHECK: Because the feeders are on the outside of the hive, it is easy to see when the solution is too low and needs to be refilled. They can easily be removed and filled without needing to suit up.
🐝 SUGAR SOLUTION INSTRUCTIONS: To prepare a 1:1 sugar solution for spring/summer feeding, bring one par water to a boil. Then turn off the heat and stir in an EQUAL amount of sugar by WEIGHT, stir until dissolved, and then cool. The 2:1 solution is prepared using two parts sugar by weight to one part water. One cup of sugar weighs approximately the same as 1 1/8 cups of water. So to prepare a 1:1 sugar solution, use 8 cups of water and 9 cups of granulated sugar.
