Function: A queen excluder works by separating the brood nest from the boxes where the bees will store their excess honey, helping keep the hive organized and making honey harvesting easier.
Using a queen excluder helps a beekeeper be more confident of where their queen is in the bee hive, making it easier to find her among the frames
Ideal sizing: The spaces in the grid are perfectly spaced large enough to allow the smaller worker bees through the holes, but small enough to exclude the queen and keeping her from entering the honey boxes.

EASY TO FIND THE QUEEN- The grid design has slots that are large enough for worker bees to pass through easily, but small enough to keep drones (male bees) and the queen from passing through. Keep the queen in the brood nest makes it very easy to find her without having to look through honey boxes for her.

8 FRAME OPTION – Purchase the correct queen excluder to fit your hive. Use the larger 10-frame excluder for use on a 10-frame hive and an 8-frame excluder on your 8-frame hive. These queen excluders will work on all standard Langstroth hives.

HONEY FRAMES ARE PROTECTED – While using a queen excluder between the brood boxes and the honey boxes, you can be confident the honey frames are protected from the queen and there will not be any eggs or dark comb in them. Providing cleaner honey and perfect comb for eating.

EASY TO USE – Installing a queen excluder is very simple to do; it can be done without any special tools and can be added and removed throughout the year. Simply place it above your brood boxes and under your honey boxes. The weight of the boxes above the excluder hold it down securely.

CUSTOMIZABLE PLASTIC – The plastic can be trimmed and shaped to fit your specialized needs. While it does not need to be adjusted for standard use, it can be adjusted to fit a Top Bar Hive or a Horizontal Langstroth Hive.
